The 23rd edition of the Pittsburgh Chess Open 2022 will be held from 22-24 July at the Doubletree Green Tree Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The program includes five different tournaments; Major (for players rated 1900+), Under 2100, Under 1800, Under 1500, and Under 1200, with a guaranteed prize fund of 15.000$.
The events will be played in 5 rounds, swiss system, with time control: 80 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes till the end of the game, plus 30 seconds increment for each move, starting from move one. The field of the Major tournament is headlined by GM Alexander Shabalov, GM Jacek Stopa and FM Evan Park. Scroll down for starting rank list of players
