As Immortal Game is played with the same rules as classic chess, then what’s the difference between us and other platforms, except token rewards? Let us introduce: Immortals. Immortals are NFTs representing chess pieces (Pawn, Knight, King…). Each Immortal has a specific side quest players will try to fulfil during games. Fulfilled side quests will unlock rewards for the winner at the end of the game. Read more: Immortal Game beta reaches the 15k mark / Launch: Immortal Game’s online chess platform was launched on the 21st of June Official website: Join Immortal game
Players will form teams of 1 to 4 different Immortals and strategically place them on the board before the start of the game. The composition of the team and the placement on the board will be crucial, enabling synergies or nullifying any advantage.
The rules are unchanged but the incentivization for a player to fulfil their quests will slightly change the way they have to conceive chess game tactics.
Each Immortal will start with a single quest. Many quests will be available at the launch of the game, more will be added with our next collections. Fulfilling a quest during the game will grant additional rewards for the player winning the game. Each type of pieces has their specific quest pool, some are Micro (directly related to the piece), some are Macro (not specifically related to the piece).
Here are a few examples of Micro Quests:
Here are a few examples of Macro Quests:
Since all quests have different difficulty levels and success rates, their reward are also different. We made sure to balance quests rewards based on historical data to avoid overpowered pieces. However, some quests will probably fit better your playstyle and therefore will have a better yield for you!
Each Immortal has an Element which gives it a particular artistic design and create unique collections. We have plans in the future to create synergies when Immortals from the same Element are used together in the same team. The 4 initial Elements are Marble, Ebony, Ivory and Steel.
Each Immortal also has a specific purity: Rough, Polished, Piece of Art, Masterpiece. The purer an Immortal is, the rarer it is and the higher its attached rewards. Immortal purity increases both the reward associated with the Immortal quest and the base reward earned when winning the game.
