The US Chess Championship 2022 is taking place from 5-20 October at the Saint Louis Chess Club. Fourteen of the country’s strongest chess players battle for the national title and $60,000 in a classical round-robin event with Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian and Wesley So headlining the field which includes Hans Niemann as the 8th seed.
After three played rounds, Hans Niemann, Fabiano Caruana, Samuel Sevian and Christopher Yoo share lead in the tournament, and the Round 4 features the leaders’ encounter: Hans Niemann vs Fabiano Caruana.
