The FIDE World Team Championship 2022 takes place from 19 to 26 November in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a twelve-team championship with China, France, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Ukraine competing in Pool A, and Azerbaijan, India, Israel, Poland, USA and Uzbekistan competing in Pool B.
Four best-ranked teams of each pool advanced to the Knockout stage of the competition. China, Ukraine, Spain and France topped the Pool A and Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, India and Poland were the best four teams of Pool B. Team USA led by Hans Niemann didn’t make it, and got eliminated.
