The African Chess Confederation and the National Olympic Committee of Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conakry are working on the modalities to establish vibrant national chess federations.
The Vice President of FIDE, Mr Lekan Adeyemi has already visited both countries intending to start the federations.
Only three countries Benin, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau are the only African countries without chess federations.
