The African Junior Chess Championship AJCC is an annual chess tournament open to African chess player under 20 years of age. The first edition of the prestigious youth chess tournament was held in 1980,and since its second edition in 1989, has been held annually with the exception of 2010.

In 2002 a separate championship for girls was held concurrently with the open championship.
