The “ChessMood” International Open Chess Tournament kicked off today and takes place from September 29 to October 09 at the 5 star Tsaghkadzor Marriott Hotel in Armenia. The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, within two groups: A (2000+) and B (U2000). Time control for the A tournament is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, plus 30 minutes till the end of the game with 30 seconds increment starting from move one. GM Shant Sargsyan, GM Maxime Lagarde and GM Manuel Petrosyan headline the field. The total prize fund of the event is 10.250.000 Armenian drams (around 21.000 euros). See all information here
