From January 13-18, 2025, ACC proudly hosted a series of meet and greet sessions focused on facilitating collaboration and upholding the principles of Olympic values.
The Continental Chess governing board organized six sessions, accommodating diverse linguistic and chess stakeholders.
These sessions provided members with an invaluable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and cultivate relationships that can lead to future collaborations.
The sessions were elevated by the presence of FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich, highlighting the world governing body’s commitment to the growth and development of chess in Africa. His support highlighted the enduring values that continue to shape ACC’s vision and mission.
The session featured a comprehensive presentation by ACC officials, which encompassed the Confederation’s mission, vision, and primary objectives.
Furthermore, they also unveiled their forthcoming initiatives, programs, and projects.
Participants were given the opportunity to share their perspectives and recommendations with the Executive Board, marking the commencement of exciting possibilities and meaningful connections.
ACC President Tshepiso Lopang and her executive expressed appreciation to everyone for participating in the sessions, with fresh perspectives augmenting seasoned wisdom, ACC is poised for a future marked by collaboration, innovation, and shared success.
