Natalie Banda and Maya Otimile, two remarkable young chess players from Botswana, are rising stars in the chess community, earning impressive new FIDE titles.

The 2024 Botswana Metropolitan National Chess Champion, Natalie Banda, has earned the distinguished title of Woman FIDE Master (WFM), and Maya Otimile has been granted the title of Woman Candidate Master (WCM).

The Botswana Chess Federation’s Goitsemodimo Makgatle extended enthusiastic congratulations to the players, their parents, and coaches on this outstanding achievement.
