ACC CALENDAR FOR 2025 OUT

The African Chess Confederation (ACC) has announced its calendar of events for the 2025 season, as the 2024 season draws to a close.

With a diverse range of high-profile tournaments on offer, chess enthusiasts can anticipate an electrifying year of competition at the regional, continental, and global levels.

Key continental events include the African Chess Confederation Meet and Greet, scheduled to take place online from January 11-25, and the African Youth Chess Championship, tentatively set for December 6-14.

Another highlight is the Africa Women Chess Championship, to be held online on March 8. Kenya will host the Africa Schools Chess Championship from May 22-29, 2025.

The premier continental chess competition, the African Individual Chess Championship, is slated to take place in Mauritius.
