The 2025 African Individual Chess Championships (AICC) will be held in Cairo, Egypt from 12-21 May, 2025.

The winners of the Open Section and the Women’s Section will be awarded the FIDE Titles of International Grand Master (GM) and Woman International Grand Master (WGM) respectively; subject to the players having attained the following minimum ratings at some time: GM (2300) and WGM (2100).

The 2025 AICC are a qualification event for the FIDE World Cup 2025. The top 1 placed player in both the Open and Women sections will qualify for the FIDE World Cup 2025.
